The proposed Academy will consist of hands-on learning experiences for high school sophomore and junior students within the setting of PFCA’s unique natural, cultural and historical resources, structured engagement with natural resource professionals for career exposure, and introduction to educational opportunities within the University of Missouri’s School of Natural Resources (SNR), and College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR). The Academy will provide a structured environment within which students will investigate multiple topics of science and education relevant to the mission of PFCA (e.g., prairie ecology, watershed processes, etc.).
